My First Sign

Technically, it’s my second sign (I made the first one during the sign painting workshop I took) but it’s my first solo attempt at a sign, with all design choices up to me. This sign was a gift for Figone Ranch, who were kind enough to let my wife and I host an anniversary party on their property.

Here’s the design stencil transferred onto the sign.

The flower was painted on first because I wanted the lettering to pop on top.

The color palette for the dahlia. I’m not a painter so this was the first time I created colors like this.

Almost done. Just needed the shadowing on the letters and to erase my stencil.
